The kanji 時 — “time”

How to remember 時

The sun (日) and a temple (寺) — time used to be told by the ringing of a temple bell. 時間 (time), ３時 (three o'clock). In Japan, if a train is even a minute late it apologizes — so this kanji is treated as something sacred here.
